I sent an e-mail to Southpaw last night asking if they still have any of these available ... I might jump on.

Is anyone else on Southpaw's list? I think someone here mentioned that they were? LeftRightOut, did you actually order one?

I also really like the Heritage 330 model (with Lollar P-90 pups), and that could be optioned out in a finish I like ... maybe I could swing one of these in a year or two. And there's a local dealer with a good reputation I could order through (if they're still a dealer - they're listed on Heritage's website). I like the idea of doing the order locally on something like this ... long distance can be scary.

Got an e-mail back from Jimmy at Southpaw this morning - he said call him and he can get me on the list - so it sounds like there are still some available.

Mikey,

contacted southpaw but didn't seem they were too interested in shipping one to Australia.

Shopped around here and got quoted $1150 AUD about $1000 US told them not paying that for a chinese guitar that is a crap shoot and the pots wont be wired properly

when I can get one shipped here for about $300 cheaper

What would it cost you to order one from the UK distributor? More ... or would they even ship it to you from there (which is insane - from China to England then BACK TO Australia!)?

I haven't called Jimmy back yet - still debating - and your comment about the backward pots is another hassle I'd rather not deal with.

...that Heritage 330 is starting to look better and better (even though it probably sells for around $2,200-$2,500). But I wouldn't have to upgrade anything, and it should be a lifer guitar.

Mikey

Even dearer from the UK our dollar is only worth about 60pence

so still thinking about it maybe Daves guitar might get one in they've been pretty good in shipping here - basic sales theory 101 someone offers you the money for the item take it
