These people claim to be the ones that got the squire bass vi started. It could be the case; I have seen the petition from the past.

I suspect the VI was coming no matter what, long before their petition. <br /> <br /> If past pattern applies, there will have to be a Pawn Shop or Blacktop-type MIM instrument first, not a petition somewhere.

I would like to see a proper XII reissue. The hockey stick headstock is already starting to appear on acoustics and the new Mandocasters.

I'm in the market for a Fender XII but just haven't found the right one yet. Prolly end up with a CIJ or MIJ. I might build one as an alternative.

If they made an Electric XII that sounded like a Rickenbacker, people would be all over it. It can't be that difficult - different pickups and flip the strings over (unless Rick has a patent on that)

No interest whatsoever. <br /> <br /> I remember when you couldn't give them away in the late 80s/early 90s.<br /> <br /> My first nightmare setup job was doing a XII.<br /> <br /> It made me swear off some of the Fender offsets for years.
