Recently purchased a 1960 Musicmaster. The guitar has an older well done re-finish.The neck is original and plays wonderfully. The wiring harness appears to be factory as the pot codes have correct dates, the astron cap and all solder is untouched. Strange thing is the tone and volume knobs seem to be aluminum instead of the usual chrome. Does anyone know if Fender ever used such knobs? Just curious about that. Thanks for any info--Mike

I've never seen that. Sure they're not nickel plate?

Got a picture?

Took some with my old dumbphone. Any tips on how to upload it to this site would be appreciated. Thanks for the reply.

Here's a shot (if it gets through) of the control knobs. Let me know what you think, thanks.

Yeah, not stock. They are styled after the Tele control knob.
