If they go for the prices they suggest in that article, they'll be a lot cheaper than some of the right-handed ones have sold for! Only $60K or $125K? What a deal! Think I'll sell my house and get one!

(Of course, they could go for a lot more...)

We were planning on going to the Arlington guitar show that year, because we have lots of friends that we see there. We hadn't made it there since '08 so it was going to be great to see everyone.

Then they announced that the only known lefty '59 Les Paul (the McEnroe burst) and one of the 3 known '60 Les Paul lefties (the "Florida" burst) were going to be shown; and that was like the icing on the cake.

So, if that was the icing, I have to say the cherry on top was the '53 in the case at her feet; considering it came home with us!.

We won't ever be able to own a 'burst unless we hit the lottery, so being able to pick up the Goldtop was unreal. It's everything we could want, 100% original, case and all. Here's a couple photos of it with her '54. We never imagined that we would have a '50's Les Paul, let alone 2!

It was very cool that my lefty got the chance to play them, and have a few photos taken:

Congrats! Pretty sweet!

In the picture, is she holding the two ('59 & '60) that were auctioned? If so, what a thrill!

And that's the '53 at her feet?

Looking forward to other pics...
