I know I can make one of these if I wanted to. But I can't fight that GAS attack over the new 2014 '56 Heavy Relic Stratocaster. Only wished they offered a heavy relic in the '64 Strat for this year.

I like the fact that it already comes with the functional 5 way switch, RWRP middle pickup, and the flatter radius. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of the V neck profiles, but I might be willing to set that preference aside.

I've been saving my '97 60's Relic Strat for exchange for something cool. I've been on the fence for either this, or a Gretsch Duo Jet. So little time.

Anyone else feel the same way?

One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made was selling my Cunetto Strat.

6

If it's any consolation, the Fender TM (and more recent) models are more vintage-correct than the Cunetto-era Strats and Teles.

But bottom line is a great guitar is a great guitar.
