Some interesting new models, cheap street prices....looks like they are to be released shortly.

I am liking the "Jaguar", which has the shape of a Jaguar but the similarities kind of end there.

Any thoughts?

I'm holding out for the Epi 339.

That's funny, I saw that ad and thought they were referring to that Pawn Shop series. Had to take another look to see what was hidden in plain sight!

Honestly, none of them really jump out at me. I guess I like the looks of the Jaguar Bass best.

It will be interesting to hear opinions of people who try them. I can't see them selling briskly right now unless they offer high quality for the price point.

BTW the MF ad doesn't list a gig bag as included?

At those prices, I am assuming a gig bag is not included.

I may bite on a Jaguar, if I do of course I will make sure I fill everyone in after getting it.

I too was looking forward to the Epi 339, but I really want to get one of those in hand before I decide on that. Some Epis I really like, others just feel like junk and I want to see which one the 339 winds up being.

The low dollar Fenders, however, I am usually fairly satisfied with.

They look like fun, but I wouldn't say terribly ground breaking. Just variations on themes/features... if the pickups in the "Telecaster Electric Bass Guitar" are decent, I can see that being a runaway favorite. The neck pickup is really far up there and folks who are into ridiculously deep bass tones ala Reggae or Gov't Mule might really dig it.

No definitely not ground breaking.

I posted a thread on these earlier today, but it looks like it was moved to the Telecaster forum?

The only one of the bunch that looks half interesting to me is the Marauder, but there's something about the body style I like, even if I have absolutely no need for the instrument.

The Tele Plus looks like it could be a very versatile guitar. I like the P90 models too. I'm happy that P90s are sort of making a comeback these days.

When you have an armadillo in your trousers, volcanic is a way of life.

Wish they'd stuck with a single string tree on the Teles. Two looks awkward and is unnecessary, IMO.

I will go on record and be the first to report that I have pre-ordered a Marauder in LPB.

Supposedly coming in on Monday and shipping to me shortly thereafter. Report to follow, of course.

You better start pumping iron, that triple coil will take more man than I am to plug in.

Jag needs all black hardware/bridge/switch and the Strat jack cup removed and have it sidemount for input like a LP.

Then I'd consider it.

Still leaves a gaping hole with the jack cup, which wrecks the aesthetics.

Backorder date was changed from yesterday to 10/20. I guess we will see, they usually change the backorder dates a million times before actually shipping. That's why I typically don't like to backorder.

I'm impatient.
