Nice. These are the B3 without a Leslie, if I recall.

get a rotary simulator, and a nice PA, and you'll be in heaven.

B3 without the percussion kit (2nds, 3rds / fast, soft) and a slightly different "fold-over" but great organs. Green Onions was actually recorded on an M series organ not a B3 so one can see how minor the difference was (besides cabinets). Leslies were "optional" on M series units. Actually Leslies were not factory authorised accessories when they were first introduced.

Anyway I digress....

Not a great price at all.

I've obtained (and given away) M-3s for free.

Keep your eyes open.

44 key registers also as opposed to the 61 keys on the A, B, and C models.

I tried for over a month to sell a working M-3 and finally let it go for $50, and the guy was just going to strip out the amp and use it.

"Not a great price at all"

That depends on where one lives, doesn't it?

There are probably deals to be made in S Cal because 40 million people live there and there are a few thousand old instruments sitting in people's garages that they don't want at all.

If someone is selling one in Puke, Idaho for $250, that's probably a good deal.

Is Puke, ID anywhere near Cincinnati?

One other thing to consider is that many folks who list Hammonds for sale, shall we say, prevaricate about what model it may be.

Out here, it's not unusual to see LSI models for sale with "B-3" in the description.

As always, be aware of what's being offered, and what you want to pay for it.

If it's rare in your area, you should take that into account.

$250 seems steep for Goodwill.

I have an M2 but I've found several M3's for $50 or $75. If everything works and you plan on using it, you are ok.
