Still playing after all these years

Living and playing near the salt water in sunny Florida seems to be harder on strings than other places.

I decided to put a set of SS strings on my strat to see if they last longer. I played out the same day I put them on and the Strat seemed to have a bright Tele sound. I assume the strings made the difference. Not sure I will leave them on.

Anyone else tried SS strings.

Used stainless strings for twenty-some years now.

Haven't replaced frets yet (and I've kept the same Strat since '98).

I don't use the bullets any more, but the Fender stainless 10s are what I put on all my six strings.
