The older the violin

I don't have a Martin in the herd at the present time, and would like one.

I'm good in the dreadnought department, and am looking for a nice smaller "couch guitar."

0 or 00 or 000. A slot head would be nice. Must have a Mod V neck, or something else on the chunky side.

Let me know, please, if you've got one that's not getting the playing time it deserves. I'll give it a good home.

Didn’t you have a 00-18v?

Have you tried any of the all mahogany Martins?

I would trade the solid Mahogany 00015s, sold today as the 000-15sm at $1,600 new, for a spruce topped parlor 12 fret of equal value. I may consider an equal value classical guitar. The 12 fret is closer to historically accurate than 14 fret guitars and I used it as such. Most of the Rendezvousers are banging on Dreads, the 00015s can hang with them, but I really only use it a couple times a year.

hush, I did, and it was an outstanding guitar. However, I traded it +cash for the Goodall that I wrote about in another thread. I knew I would miss the Martin, and I do. But I'm crazy about the Goodall, it's an amazing guitar.

I do like all-mahogany small-bodied guitars, but gotta have a gloss finish (with a satin neck).

I do know where there is a mint 0-28VS for sale, and also an older 000-28VS. I just have to get down to Denver to check them out. Maybe next week.

Thought I'd throw this thread out there just for the heck of it in the meantime.

You could always gloss it, easier than un-glossing t :o)

Most of the parlor size guitars I’m looking at are way above my pay grade. I’m hopeful I’ll get ambitions enough to build my own this winter. I haven’t located my stash of wood sets yet but I still have the trailer to check, I’ve got some decent sets stashed, and some great tops of various spruce.
