I've got a Fuchs Blackjack 21 MkII inbound. I've always admired the Fuchs tones, but never enough to take the plunge. I found a mint used head on Reverb for a nice price, so the time is now.

Any Fuchs players? I know walshb has one.

I had the original Blackjack 21 combo. Great amp...build, tone, looks.

I actually have two of them, Leftee, the same one you ordered, plus a Four Aces combo. The Four Aces is currently "down", drastic volume changes and I believe it's a problem with the main circuit board, but not positive. Andy doesn't give our schematics, so it's difficult to find anyone to work on them. Shipping back and forth to Fuchs is expensive, so I just haven't decided on a course of action yet. But I don't think I have much choice.
My Blackjack has had some volume change issues a couple of times, also, but only after playing it for over an hour. I haven't really attempted to solve that one, because I don't play it very often since I got the Marshalls. Wishing you better luck than I've had! I hate to say that because they're nice amps.

Wow! I hope this isn’t a thing!

Silly question, but, did you try tubes?

"Silly question, but, did you try tubes?"

It's definitely not a tube issue, on the Four Aces. It "could" be on the Blackjack, because I've only swapped out one of them, on that one. If I played the Blackjack more, I would have swapped them all out by now.
I actually had a very good tech work on the Four Aces, and he thought he had it fixed, but it started again as soon as I put it back in the combo. If it was tubes, it would be fixed by now.
I don't know if it's "a thing" and I'm not trying to imply that. I don't think I've read about anyone else having problems with them, either. "Them" meaning the Casino series amps.

Oh yeah?!?!? 😜

I’m not sure if I’m Fuch’d yet. I paid for this Sat. evening. Still no shipping info. I hope this isn’t one of those deals. Every once in a while I buy something and it never ships.

I contacted him last night and he said it shipped yesterday. He hasn’t put the tracking number in yet.

I’m amazed at how many folks don’t use the Reverb shipping. The discounts can be pretty substantial.

Well, at least he answered! But no tracking # yet....that would bother me. Does he have many sales on Reverb?

This thing is pretty sweet. Amazing cleans. The OD is so simple it’s crazy. And with a tweak of the OD tone knob there is quite a range of tone available.

One of the things I really like about the Casino series amps! You can sort of match it to the clean channel tone, or make it totally different with that knob.

BTW, my 4 Aces is now fixed, and my tech has informed me that it was just a bad solder joint on a volume pot. So it's not an inherent problem with these amps. He's also really impressed with the sound of the amp.

I wondered if it wasn’t a solder join problem.

This thing is deep, front to back. It doesn’t sit on top of my tall Marshall 2x12 well. If the cab wasn’t an angled cab it would probably be ok.

I usually play the Blackjack through an Orange 1x12 cab with a V30. I haven’t tried it through my 2x12 cab with Greenbacks; I probably need to do that!
Yes it is deep! I don’t have any angled cabs though.
