I have several primo parts I'm not doing anything with yet, but wrapped in a t-shirt in the top of my closet is a "usa custom" strat neck with quartersawn maple, brazillian rosewood fretboard and clay dots that i bought about 15 years ago when you could buy such a thing. At the same time I purchased a 1 piece alder body at just under 4 lbs that i finished in tinted amber and nitro. Just never got around to building it into my dream strat, but there they sit in waiting. Any other procrastinators have a stash?

I just posted something about a light weight Tele I have been working on for quite some time now. All I have left to do is to drill out the string ferrules on the back of the Tele body. Then, I can put it all together. Total weight 5 lbs.

I. Built an ebony over maple 34” scale fretless bass neck that’s just sitting in my workshop. I haven’t put markers on it yet, on the fretless type I like to install them at the point of intonation, which I usually do after it’s ready to play.

Any good pieces or parts don't gather much dust around my place.

However, I seem to have accumulated a reasonable box of (mostly brand new) cheap bits.

I constantly wonder why I keep them, but I guess in the back of my head I think maybe I'll be able to give them to someone that needs a part but afford an expensive upgrade.

I have some *very nice* custom stainless steel knobs (thanks Brother Aaron!) that have been patiently waiting for the right guitar.

I'm building it now.

I have a brand new set of Texas Special Strat pickups that I bought years ago. Have built and/or modified/upgraded many guitars since I bought these but used other pickups like Tex-Mex, Tone Riders, or various other pickups that I came across. The only guitars I currently own that I would consider putting them in are Squiers. But, I just hate to put pickups in a guitar that would make me have more $$$ into it than it will ever be worth. Because, it wouldn't just be the pickups....I'd have to re-do the whole pick guard to my satisfaction...pots, switch, caps, vintage wiring, etc.

Hah! I've been sucked into that vortex many times!

Also, just remembered I have a brand new unopened set of Tonerider Classic Blues strat pickups in my drawer.
I didn't need them when I bought them, but the price was too good to pass up.
