The guy is obviously, incredible, but to top it off, he makes all those great guitar faces that actually enhance his playing! Even though he doesn't need them. What a talent.

Nice rig rundown. Premier Guitar is a really cool publication. Some of the best recent rig rundowns featured Judas Priest, Sleep, Buddy Miller, Nita Strauss, Billy Strings, et al.

Got to meet and chat with Greg about a year ago. He is 'all that'. Gear point: he played through a reissue Deluxe Reverb. Volume on 7, treble on 6, bass on 5. Played his Reverend with his Fishman Fluence pickups and played a Les Paul. No pedals. Needed nada. Stellar tone and covered all bases.

Actually, I think that's one of the "calmer" interviews he's given.

The first time I saw Greg was at a jam session in the Up and Under Pup on Brady Street in Milwaukee in the late ‘80s. No fame in those days, just a hell of a great guitar player who entertained us with his guitar gymnastics.

Along with being about the best stunt guitarist on the planet, El Gristolero has gotta be one of the funniest crackpots out there, yes? Dude kills me every time I see him on YouTube spots. He’s also a genuinely nice and engaging fellow, even to a guitar geek stranger like me when I met him years ago at a Fender promo road show clinic thing

A toast to His Gristleness!

Watched through. That guy makes me laugh, both when he talks and plays. Funny as hell that the Reverend sig is oversized.

"He’s a big dude"

Yeah, I got to see him at a clinic in Michigan years ago. I just found it funny his signature guitar addresses it.

You should see the laughable photo of me with a Les Paul.

It's like a 3/4-size toy.
