According to the newspaper this morning, 18.2 million people have already FINISHED streaming the entire season, which was released on July 4.

I have one episode to go. Watching it with my daughter, which means we both have to be available which means it took longer, otherwise it would've been 18.2 million and one.

Without spoiling anything (and I won't be back to check this thread until I've finished, just in case), what I will say is, it hasn't lost anything as of yet. Still exciting, interesting, and all of that.

Now, MINOR SPOILER ALERT:

I've enjoyed the fact that portions of the third season are set in a 1980's mall. It was fun to see places like Sam Goody, Orange Julius, and Time Out Arcades alive and well again.

I watched just a couple episodes and seem to have lost interest. Seems they're really trying too hard to nail the 80's vibe. Maybe best watched with the right audience.

There's a couple of things this season that could make one feel that way. It didn't affect my enjoyment, YMMV.

I've watched the first episode of Season 3, but it feels kinda age-awkward.

Like watching a continuation of Leave it to Beaver, where Wally has his pregnant girlfriend living there, Mrs Cleaver is sleeping with Eddie Haskell, and Beaver is a 250 lb dog catcher with asthma.

The woosification of Hopper over the kissing thing had me twisting a little.

And lol at Gato.

My wife and I finally watched some of this show (the first 4 episodes) and we don't understand why it's become such a hit.

It's 3rd rate Steven Spielberg and 4th rate the kids from Steven King's "IT."

Oh well, maybe it's just us.

ps - The 80's looks an awful lot like the 70's in the early episodes.

I have 1 more episode in the new season.

I see even a retro 80's theme has mandatory requirements to inject sexual orientation. NTTAWWT, other than laughable predictability. I was an adult in the 80's and raising kids for much of the decade. Maybe this is meant to resonate with the next generation.

“Maybe this is meant to resonate with the next generation.”

Hitting both generations means higher ratings, so I’m pretty sure they are covering their bases.

"The 80's looks an awful lot like the 70's in the early episodes."
In my town, '83 didn't look much different than '79.
Aside from a splash of neon colors and the wealthy kids wearing Benetton, all gave way eventually "Frankie say Relax" shirts and parachute (or Zubaz) pants around '86.
Not for ME of course! Daily wear was jeans and t-shirts or concert shirts (see "Heavy Metal Parking Lot"!).

I think that's accurate and, for what its work, what was depicted in the show. The opening of the local mall was the aforementioned splash of neon lol.

To those who've finished Season 3, my teenager hipped me to something important that I missed: If you did not watch through the end credits of the final (Ep. 8) go back and watch it. There's an extra 3 min setup piece to Season 4 and you WILL want to see it!

Yeah, that episode was like watching the Return of the King. It kept ending, again and again.
