In my old age I discovered I prefer no reverb.

Likewise. I can't stand reverb these days - small room ambience is enough for me but I do use a TS clone just to give a tonal boost to my little Marshall JTM 1 watter.

All at home of course.

It depends on the context and the style of music. For example, if I'm playing rockabilly, I really like to have slapback echo and an OD pedal.

I have a serious pedalboard, but most of the pedals are only used on one song (the bands I'm in play original music).

I guess I'm anti-purist. (:oD

Probably 2/3 of the time when I'm playing with others, it's a guitar, a cable, and an amp.

It's probably pretty boring for listeners, but I play guitar for me :o)

I love just good ole fashion plug n play...none of my amps have reverb or tremolo.....

but I did finally break down and buy a Hall of fame reverb pedal just to put a smidgin of verb...

My favorite Ax man these days is Tab Benoit....a beat to snot 72 thinline through a pair of Cat5 amps....and nothing else......

One of my favorites by Tab...YTC

I go straight into my Mustang. I use just a little bit of reverb and sometimes just a touch of delay on each patch. What I have discovered is that with my heavier patches I use less reverb. When we play live there is always a room ambiance and some effects from the PA so adding too much from my amp will only muddy up the sound. When playing at home I just don't bother with reverb.

I go both ways....er....sometimes effects and sometimes pure. And even when I do use the pedal board I don't necessarily light up the entire board anyway.

In a performance setting I will tend to leave compressor, drive and delay always "on" but with a lot less mix than I did years ago.

OK-Three different amps and guitars I like strait in.

'16 LP Traditional into Marshall SV20C
(SV20C is Studio Vintage 20 (watts) Combo amp)

'06 EJ Strat into '69 Super Reverb!

'99 ES -335 into Vox AC15C1!

I'm no purist but, I enjoy the tones playing strait in and experimenting with the rest!

I prefer to plug straight in, but certain songs require a wah, or occasionally some delay just to fatten things up a little. I’m definitely not big on effects, they are better when used sparingly IMO.

I plug straight in to a custom built amp that has 0% harmonic distortion and a special -10 reverb that is 10x drier than a non reverb amp.
