We played Memphis Italian Festival this weekend, and the guitarist with the band prior to use was telling me how good a G12H sounded in his older Deluxe Reverb.
Curious if anyone gone this route in a DRRI ?
What did you think about it ?

Yes, I had a G12H in my DRRI for quite a while and it sounded great, if just a tad heavy in the bass for my taste. I ended up changing over to a Celestion Gold which produced the mids I loved in the G12H with a bit less bottom-end.

I've tried a greenback Celestion Heritage G12H 55 hz in my DRRI and I liked it, but I thought it sounded a little thin. I've tried lots of speakers with that amp and the Emi CRex sounds best to me.
Btw- I did the simple mod to get the reverb and trem in the Normal channel which is the channel I always use. Sounds much fuller to me.

How do you do that ?
I always run thru Channel 1 and pull V2 as I don't use Channel 2, it give it just a wee bit more boost with V2 pulled.
