FDP Forum / Amp Mods, Repairs, and Projects / Convert BF Deluxe (it's a Weber Kit) to Power Amp

Guys, I've looked all over the internet trying to find any info on this, or anything.

I have a BF Deluxe that I built from a Weber kit. I've kinda pirated it for parts, and it's out of the cabinet. I want to try to convert it to be a Power Amp only.

This can't be as simple as taking everything out before the PI and hooking that up to a jack?

Does anyone have any info, schematics, links, thought on this. This is just a project for me, so it's just for fun/re-use of these parts.

I'd like top use it after a rack-pre, just to screw around with. I guess I'd want to add a volume control to it too.

Thanks for any info!
Mike

I've built a few and all were quite good. I often used upgraded iron, caps, switches and such, but I built one with the stock parts and it was a very nice, toneful amp.

Just use the normal channel and turn the treb to min, bass around 2 to 3; that should provide a fairly flat frequency response, certainly way flatter than the speaker / cab can probably manage.
Try the #2 input jack to eliminate likelihood of overdriving the input stage.
