I made a trade recently with a guy on another site and I am pretty excited to say that a new Strat will arrive mid week. It has Klein 58's and some trick wiring.

After I acquired a Blackie a couple weeks ago my love for the Strat returned BIG TIME. I have to say that once you fall in love, you fall in love.

This new one weighs 7lbs 10 ounces and I love the MIJ ones (2012 or so model) here is a pic from the seller.

Noice! What'd you trade?

Give us a review of the Kleins when you get it.
They're supposed to nice pickups, pretty exy down here.

Mick, I traded the Orville by Gibson LP. Been trying to sell it for a while and I was ready to just buy the strat and the trade idea came up...

Gorgeous, probably my favorite Strat combination. But that looks like a 3 tone burst which didn't come out until 58/59, no? (I see the "54ish" comment in pic). I built a birth year replica (59) and intended to use a maple board but came across a dandy Allparts baseball bat rosewood neck that I just had to use.

I know a lot of people have gotten bored with sunburst but it still dazzles me.

Yeah, I labeled it wrong. The seller said 54 and I was questioning the string tree not the 3 tone which I did not know about.

I had a Strat Plus about 20 years ago that was 2 tone (I think) that I liked.

Very nice, I have an MIM that I rewired with vintage colored pickups that looks exactly the same as yours. Probably my favorite strat although I love my MIJ as well (also sunburst with rosewood neck)
