Just curious i use to use fendeer 150 pure nickle 10-38's for years till they stoped making them so i switched to GHS 10-38 boomers nickle wraped but recently came across pyrymid pure nickle strings and have not tried them. Are they easer on the fretts than nickle wraped and any one have experience with Pyrymid stings thks

Pure nickel wrap is a little softer. It’s is alleged to be easier on frets.

I’ve not tried those. I order all my strings from Curt Mangan.

Nickel wrapped are a nickel alloy wrap. Pure nickel have pure nickel wrap/winding.

The plain strings and the cores of the wound strings are pretty much the same between sets. There are hex core strings and round core strings.
