An answer looking for a question?
One thing that niggles is the piezo EQ switch being break-before-make, meaning there's a brief silence while changing on the fly.

I like the idea of using magnets to secure the back. I've done that same thing with a trussrod cover. Probably will look into doing a similar thing with control cavity covers. The pickup change thing is very cool but in the end only a gimmick despite still being very cool. I wonder what the aluminum frame does to the mojo -- tone happens... I've played aluminum necks and totally aluminum bodies and was offended but to use aluminum as a structural enhancing method might be okay. If they pay attention to detail at the factory, this might be an awesome guitar.

Tone is in the lingersMay 4th, 2019 03:12 PM Edit Profile
It's very innovative for sure. I wonder about the price tag.
The tones (sans the piezo) sound like a hybrid SG & SHB. It has kind of a hollow sound to my ears.

wrnchbndr, it will be a very dark time for humanity starting on the day you stop making your wonderful (and sometimes delightfully different) instruments.

Been in a rut for inspiration. I have a dozen choice neck blanks of both maple/mahogany/maple and mahogany/maple/mahogany laminations just waiting for an idea to propel me through a build. They're all trued up with calculated grain orientation but I got nothin in my head. Waiting for the guitar gods or a youtube video to inspire me. I have a super heavy duty neon transformer and rubber gloves. I have new blades for the bandsaw and time on my hands. Considering a trip to South America to see a Shaman and converse with southern hemisphere spirits or taking a course to become a pastry chef.

You have a super heavy-duty neon transformer AND rubber gloves?
Why didn't you say so earlier?
