If I include my older Korg tuner I have 4
Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver
Tech 21 Boost R.V.B.
L.R. Bags PARA ACOUSTIC D.I.

And this really old Electro Harmonix Linear Power Booster 2, I’ve never used and have no idea where it came from. Figured I’d throw it on the bench one of these days. I figure somebody would use it.

I have maybe 10 stomp boxes that I rarely use anymore.

I have a Tech21 Fly Rig that I drag to jams, etc., and I have a Mooer Red Truck that I play through at home. Both are 'multi-effects' units that do everything I need. They're small, really portable, and it eliminates patch cables and power supply connections.

If I don't use it, I move it. So the only pedals I own are on my board.

I have a handful of pedals, but mostly just use a MXR-MC 402 clean boost/overdrive, a Boss DD3 delay, and a DOD EQ. Sometimes I might throw in a Vox Wah.

I've got two pedalboards full of them, along with lots of them on the shelf.

I could get rid of a bunch of pedals, but selling them is a hassle.

Agree on selling them is a hassle... it's almost not worth it.

If everyone is like me, I acquired a lot of pedals searching for my tone with little or no direction.

Like hunting for a needle in a haystack.

I opened this thread up thinking it was the wah pedal thread. I was thinking, “Wow! Dave has two pedalboards full of wahs! I gotta go see him play some day.”

8 on my board, includes a tuner and looper. Add wah to that, acoustic DI for a mandolin, and a small handful of retired pedals. Just over a dozen.

5, PC, I'm new to the pedal game and could use a few. Delay, Flange, I don't know what else. My Princeton Chorus had some o the stuff on board but it'seems parked and I'm playing through a VOX AC15 these days. Lights on if you want to do something easy.

Timmer, I might have those that I would pass on. I’m traveling this week so I can’t get to them until Friday. My light is on, too.

Mine would ….astound you.

And like a good friend of mine who's a pro jazzer in Chicago once said after trying the thing I was using at a gig:

"You can have it (the guitar) back - it sounds better when you do it."

It's about what you do with them, and where they take you.

For those of us really pushing the boundaries in the moment, it ain't happening without options.

Irony, of course, is I can turn them all off and often do.

I can just unleash all the hells with one push.

But I also have a rack of stuff that's reaching halfway to the ceiling.

I've got at least fifty of the damn things. If they aren't on a pedal board I display them in a bookcase in the man cave.

I accumulated a lot of pedals between 2002 and 2017, none very exotic. Since I retired I divided my pedals between my two condos and still have quite a few at either place. It seems some of my longtime dogs have become useable again.
