That's kinda sorta fake. There's not enough combustible material in there to put on a little 4th of July show like that.

At most, it would pop or fizz for a second and smoke a bit.

Methinks Brian--who's a bit of a jokester himself-- has been watching a few too many ElectroBoom vids, or perhaps he was inspired by BigClive's Fanny Flambeau video.

My only pedal that runs on 18V is the Fulltone Plimsoul. I have one 18V outlet on my Trutone PS so I need to be VERY careful when plugging in pedals.
