Does anyone have some favorite settings? I find the amp to vary greatly by the guitar I have plugged into it.

It does vary. It sure likes my Casino!
Top boost input
Channel vol 10:00 o’clock
Bass 5:00 o’clock
Treble 10:00 o’clock
Top cut 11:00 o’clock
Reverb 9:00 o’clock
Master to suit
I swapped some tubes and stuck a Weber Blue Dog in mine.

Dolemite, I put in your settings. Nice! The Vintage Lemon Drop I plugged in finally synced with the amp. A little tweeting on the knoBS and presto! I cut the tone to 10p a little and backed off on the bass to 12p. Thanks for sharing.

I have trouble finding settings that do not work on this beloved amp. But I have a general theme I use for home playing.
For single coil guitars (Telecaster, Stratocaster, Danelectro DC, and Epiphone Casino):
Top boost input
Channel vol 12-2 o’clock
Bass 3-5 o’clock
Treble 2-4 o’clock
Top cut zero
Reverb zero to 10 o'clock
Master to suit
For the humbuckered Les Paul beast:
Top boost input for naughty
Normal channel for nice and pretty
Channel vol 12-2 o’clock
Bass 9-10 o’clock
Treble 12-4 o’clock
Top cut zero
Reverb zero to 10 o'clock
Master to suit
I've had the amp almost 8 years, and I still don't know what to do with the Top Cut.

Timmer, you can see I'm a fan of treble. That may be why I've never dialed in the Top Cut.

I've almost pulled the trigger a few times on an AC15 because I love the Vox sound. The only thing that's stopped me is reading reviews about how picky it can be to different guitars and EQ settings. I play a variety of styles in our band and need an amp that easily tweakable.
Still, I may own one somebody because the jones is still there.

Charlie, thanks for posting these. I’ve had one for a few months now and I’m still dialing it in. I’ve been hangin out in the normal channel but going to explore the top boost circuit more. One question: if you use the amp with an external speaker cab (meaning no internal speaker) then 8 ohms is ok, but if used with an extension cab (using internal speaker) then you must stick to 16 ohms. That is how I understand the manual, does that seem right to everyone else?

Manual?
To my ears, this amp responds differently to different guitars/pups. I rotate the guitar I play each time I play and have to spend time dailing in the settings that best suit that axe.
