Don't see them very often but there is a good example on display here.

They are a good band as well.

Somebody needs t'pencil test on that bass player: don't look like no MerMAN t'me!

Whammy on a bass? I don't get that at all and don't foresee ever having one.

A guy I knew a hair metal-ish band in the '80s had a whammy on his bass. I haven't seen anyone use one since, but have occasionally seen them for sale.

If I already had a whammy on my bass, yeah, I'd probably mess with it. Would be fun especially if you can bend lower. But I'm never gonna go out of my way to get one.

George Duke had a whammy on a clavinet and he used it quite effectively.

Got a wiggle stick on my Squier VM Bass VI. What fun! Usually just add a very subtle wobble on the last holding note of some songs.

I see that, after using the whammy, a bass tuneup mid-song was required. Cudos for caring enough to play in-tune, but I think it's a little distracting seeing tuning like that. Non-players probably won't even notice, but I do. For that reason alone I'd pass on a bass whammy.

No, but half of my basses are fretless.

On the VI.

I use it more than on guitar!

Only on my Bass VI. It was my main bass for about a year in the mid '70s. Had to run it through a bass booster to get reasonable bass though.
