One time you posted knob settings for an acoustic guitar for the Carvin V16 combo amp. I can’t remember them and didn’t write them down. It’s been a few years.

Do you have those stored in yur noggin’?

It seems to me bass and treble were turned way down...something like that.

You must have been playing right then, at that time.

Ryder, awhile back I made a suggestion to which you may be alluding to. It was based on a tip I read on another forum from a somewhat reliable source IIRC:

Set the treble and bass tone controls to 0 with the mid maxed (10 or 11 or whatever the V-16 is). Supposedly this setting essentially bypasses the tone circuit(s) on the V-16 allowing the amp to function more like an actual acoustic guitar amp.

I tried it with my V-16 (now sold) and very much liked it. In fact I rarely used any other tone settings for acoustic guitar. Volume as needed, just a touch of soak and a little reverb. All other tone adjustments done through the guitar’s equalizer if equipped or through a separate equalizer.

Hope this helps. It's at least worth a try.

Viera, thank you.
That helps a lot. That sounds like what I thought Peegoo suggested.

BAM!

I could not find any reference to me suggesting acoustic settings on the V16.

Way to go Viera!
