Hey do any of you folks have the chords and lyrics to an old Mike Reid song. Your love stays with me. I am having a hard time finding it.

Thanks David

If you capo at the 4th fret you can play your first position chords A E D.

I think it's basically the same as "The Midnight Special"

Slash chords are a good indication the tune was written on a pee-anner.

It's also a great tip for the bass player!

Wow. "Slash Chord".

I've been playing 40+ years. I kinda knew what it meant but I never realized there was actual formal music theory behind it.

No matter how long you do something there is always something new to learn.

Cheers, larryguitar19.

If you're an intermediate or advanced player, or you understand scales and chord theory,

this is a wonderful primer on slash chords and how they work.

Well, I guess I thought they were just an added bass note to the chord, sometimes in the chord, but not the root, and sometimes in the previous or next chord. I will have to watch that and see it I can understand what is going on with it.
I know some basic theory but am always trying to figure out more of it.
