Is it stock to have the channel 2 volume knob a push pull, and if so what does it do ?

If its a Silverface someone modded it.

The Deluxe Reverb II (which is a great amp, and hand made (one of the last by Fender) Had two push-pulls 1 on the vol for gain, one of the mids for a mid boost.

What does the Push-pull do on that Deluxe Reverb? Gain???

I have an '80 DR with that set-up, it's stock. It's a volume boost (says so under the knob on mine). Never found much use for it. Come to think of it, never found much use for the DR in general after I got a second amp.

Hi!

Yes, the "pull for boost" volume-knob was a stock feature on many Fender-Amps from 1977 onwards.
Its also foot-switchable on many amps - which, unfortunately doesn't work very well. In addition to a boost in gain and volume, it also adds a LOT of hi-end.
I have it on my ´79 Princeton Reverb but never use it...
I actually found that it can make some useful sounds, but I feel I have to re-set the tone knobs to make it work.

cheers - C.

Interesting ... The Fender Field Amp Guide makes no mention of a pull-boost for Silverface Deluxes. But Ampwares states: A “Boost” pull switch was added to the Volume control around ’77.

Very cool.

I have a 75 Twin Reverb with the MV Pull-Boost. I find the MV to be very useful in today's gigging environments ( I like a Twin to sound a little dirty) I just use a luggage carrier to move it around. (easy peezy) I agree Carsten :) Using the pull-boost I have to re-work the EQ on the amp, making it not very usufull live. (so I never use it)
