The misses gets back from her trip tomorrow. I played guitar for about 7 hours today. It was a beautiful spring day in Tennessee so I opened the doors and windows, plugged into the AC15 and went to it. I can't remember the last time I was that warmed up. By the end of the day I could play just about anything I wanted to. It was a good end to a fruitful week of playing guitar. I played for an hour or two every day since there was nobody around to distract me.

The dogs will be glad when she gets back. They haven't gotten a whole lot of attention this week. Every night before I went to bed I would go in and watch TV for about a half hour with them on the bed. Scratching heads and rubbing tummies. Mrs. Nin does that every night and most of the day on the weekends so they miss her.

That's fantastic.

It's true, all that playing gets your warm enough to really play a lot of stuff. I think that is part of the professional skill set. You play so much that you are always warm!

I had a mentor when I was marching snare drum in international drum corps - Mike French. He was the Blue Devil's Center snare in the early 90s, and Santa Clara Vanguard's center snare before that. They used to call him "gumby chops" because he was always warm at any given time because he just played all day.

There is something to that.

Glad you got the time in.

That sounds good Ninworks that is an example for us all

I have been wondering why I cant put in the hours recently but between work, the internet and TV I realise I have been frittering away time.

So last night I got home about midnight and instead of watching TV or internetting I played for an hour before bed.

I don't really like watching TV all that much. I do it a lot when my wife is around. It's not much but, it's something we can do together. When she's not here my TV watching drops by about 95%. That opens up a lot of time for me to play guitar. As long as my knuckles aren't bothering me I'll play till bedtime. Luckily they haven't been an issue this week. Probably because I have been playing a lot.

I do online stuff between practice sessions. It's a needed distraction when pounding through technical exercises. I need to get up and walk around every hour or so or my back gets stiff. After walking around a little I'll see what's happening here and check my email then get back to it.
