I put these in my deluxe reverb a year ago. Really love them in my drri that I stuck a pair in my 68 Princeton custom. Great fit to my ears. Really woke up both amps . Anyone else using these? These are 6v6S not the standard 6v6.

Yep! I have 'em in my Princeton and in my 18-watt Evil Robot.

The JJ 6V6S is closer to a 6L6 (to my ears) than a typical 6V6. The JJs have a lot more clean headroom and don't distort as early as a reg'ler 6V6.

These sound big, boomy and sparkly with the classic Fender suppressed midrange.

Thats what my ears hear as well. Great tube for a smaller amp like my Princeton. I was ready to sell my drri until I put these in to be honest. Now its my favorite amp.

JJs are the only thing I use (Fenders are all I own)

I like other brands, but IMO JJs make the amp sound like what I want.

pcalu- wholeheartedly agree. I have 2 Fender amps and have always loved how they sound . The 6v6S power tubes are the bees knees.

They are, structurally, more like a 6L6. NTTAWWT

If you want a little 6L6 from a 6V6 amp, these are the deal!

When I want 6V6 I still buy NOS. The way I look at it, I won’t have to buy them again in my lifetime.

Leftee the optimist. That’s why I corrected my wife who called me middle aged. I reminded her it was doubtful I would live to be 120. Sigh.

My premise is they’ll last 50 years.

Well into my middle age. :-P

I use JJ power tubes in all my amps. Particularly like them in my PRRI for reason mentioned by others.

Nope. I have RCA 6v6's in my Deluxe Reverb and Philco branded RCA 6v6's in my Marshall 15 watt Haze.

Not for me, after using NOS Brimar 6V6GT's, its awfully hard to use any current production tubes.

Of course your gonna pay about $60 per tube, but my goodness, the difference !

I've got a set of Brimars along with a couple other sets of NOS tubes. To me present production 6V6s sound just as good. Mainly I use JJs and EHs.

Good tone is where you find it. (-:

My Marshall DSL15 Head came with a pair of TAD 6V6s. I’m pretty sure the previous owner put them in. I have no interest in tube rolling in that amp. It sounds great as-is.
