I bought a Super 210 years ago off CL.

That's a common problem with that model. I quickly sold it for a profit.

The Super series which included the Super 60 was prone to a number of service and performance issues. One thing you might want to check is for issues with the jacks. Make sure the contacts are clean and that there are no solder fractures on the PCB connections...fairly common issue. A sudden drop in volume could be as simple as a dirty or oxidized clean channel volume pot.

This amp characteristically has a bit of an anemic clean channel...meaning it's not real loud. There are modifications that can fix that which include beefing up the plate voltage or gain characteristics of the first preamp stage. There are really too many to mention here.

The Super series was both loved and hated by many. They could be really nice sounding amps and I've heard some great tones out of them. I was never really crazy about the design of this series amp with some nips and tucks, they can be really solid, reliable tube amp platforms (solid state reverb of course...:) )
