The amp is an old uhf/vhf amplifier from the ‘40s repurposed as a guitar amp. It’s about 20w with a pair of 7868s and a pair of 12AT7s.

Under it is a Fender 4x8 PA column. It has two speakers wired up in the top, the third hole has a disconnected 8” speaker and the bottom hole is empty.

The two speakers are a Celestion 4 Ohm speaker and an Eminence 820H, also 4 ohms. They’re wired in series for 8 ohms because that’s what the amp wants.

I've still not found one more pleasing to my ears than the Vox AC15C1, and that's with either single-coil or humbuckered guitars, clean or "driven" settings:

I've got one today. It's a recent acquisition. A Toneshop 18.5 hi-gain head. I bought this for a song on Reverb. The front end of the amp is a beautiful point-to-point build and the P/S and filtering section is on a PCB. I'll get a picture of the inside. I mean - this builder was an artist (he's deceased).

It was super-duper high gain amp. 3 - 12AX7s and a pair of 6V6s or 5V6s with a switch so the amp can run the latter. I'm in the process of reworking the amp out of its hi-gain configuration as it has is such a great tube complement to work with. The cab I run it through sports a Texas Heat. I couldn't build this amp for what I paid for it.

It just looks that way sitting on that 1x12 cab. It's really a normal-sized head.

This is my first Mesa and it became an instant favorite.

The 1x12 cab is from a Rocket 44 combo. Speaker is an Eminence Maverick.

My Favorite clean guitar amp is a 69-71 Fender silverface Pro Reverb. Would love to have one ever since repairing one for a friends a few years ago.

While I wait for my newest 'amp of the day', a Roland JC 40 coming on Monday, I thought I'd drag this one out and brush the cobwebs off. They are no longer in fashion but, it's fun to fool around with from time to time. Who knows, one day it may become highly sought after......maybe not. 8)

Any of you still have one of

these?

I have one more. I picked this up a few weeks ago on Reverb. It had its P/S filter caps changed. I finished the cap job (cathode bypass caps) and installed a 3 prong plug/cord.

It's a 64/65-ish Gibson Explorer. Sounds very sweet and stays pretty clean all the way up.

I had the original 30w Valvetronix (AD30VT?) maybe 15 years ago. It was a great practice amp. I loved playing through it.

I still have Tonelab.

Tonelabs, I'd forgotten all about those. I guess they still sell 'em. My Valvetronix is the the head and cab. I wish they would have included at least the foot switch when I bought mine. I got new back in '03 I think. Anyway, fun to use from time to time. 8)

This has been my amp for many days since I got it last Saturday. I've always wanted a JC 120 and the JC 40 is just a smaller version less one channel and a bit smaller speakers and half the weight.

Other than that, I'd wager it's pretty much the same. What a great little amp! It also has the bonus of being a good match for a VG 99 and ME 70. The OD section is pretty decent as well. Doesn't get to brash even at full tilt. The reverb is great as well and let me say that the chorus is as advertised. Vibrato section is nice too. I'm very pleased with it. 8)

If I'm lazy I'll tote my ZT Lunchbox. All the power and tone I need for most situations.

If I'm feeling strong and really have to maximize my tone, I grab my '71 Fender Deluxe Reverb.
