I recently acquired one of these second hand. It needed some TLC but is actually quite a good player. Not a lot of info on line so I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with them.

Some of the kids at the local School of Rock play these. They are surprisingly good for the cost.

Like you mentioned, a little TLC (even when new) goes a long way to making them play and sound really good.

That looks like a sweetie of a guitar.

There is something very cool about playing a bargain-basement guitar at a jam or open mic and making really great music with it.

I'm enjoying this guitar so much that I up-graded the electronics with full size CTS pots and a push/pull pot with the Frenster wiring harness (see my pic's) and a set of Dunlop strap locks. It's surprising how close this thing plays compared to my #1 Strat. If I switched the pups to Lace Sensors I think I would pretty well be there.

This is one of the reasons I can't justify spending the money Fender wants out of MIA instruments. It was always a bit crazy, but now with how good the imports are and the price range for anything I'd want ($1800-2400 or so)…

..Gibson just makes more sense.

At least there I'm paying for some very specific things and I can feel the difference at least in fit + finish over the Epis (and the headstock, I know, I know)...
