Do you still have the Classic Vibe 50's bass? If so, what is your opinion of it? Did you keep the stock pickup or change to something else?

I'm not George, but I swapped my pickup out for a 1/4 pounder. Big improvement. I don't have it anymore, though. I will get another, but it will be blonde. The one I had was LP blue, which is why I let it go.

I had a 51P RI that I swapped the pickup out with a 1/4 pounder pickup. Loved the fast neck and the sound. Did not like the Butterscotch color and sold it. I would consider the 50’s Classic Vibe P bass in Blonde if George stated he liked his so we will see

Bub...No I do not. Some regrets still because it was probably the best bang for the buck ever of the Fender budget basses I have owned.

I replaced the pickup early on. It was a long time ago and I don't remember the details but I think it was a SD in the single-coil antiquity series.

I liked the new PU just fine but I never got over the fact that the factory PU sounded as good, just different.
