Actually it arrived about a week ago. My Classic Floyd Rose Strat with the GK-3 pickup just became a bear to carry. The Godin is just a bit lighter and also gets some pretty good quasi-acoustic sounds with the piezos. Once I got it set up properly, it tracks well. I still get ghost notes on certain synth/model presets but I'm not about to shell out more $$$ on the sonic filter board that supposedly eliminates those glitches.

For now I'm having fun making multi-tracks with this Godin.

If I was going the synth guitar route that would be my choice.

This one and the Multiac model are widely used by pros in the studio and on tour.

Godin makes some great guitars. The company also owns and builds Norman, La Patrie, Seagull, Art & Lutherie, and Simon & Patrick acoustic guitars. All of which are very good too.

Uh oh - seems like the piezo saddle pickup on the third string is dead. I just noticed it today. Guess I try to get an RMA from Musicians Friend.

I tried chatting online: The rep said since I purchased the guitar back in Mid-October, it was passed the 45-day "no hassle" return period. I have the free 2-year warranty and she wanted me to contact Godin. The 2-year says to contact MF so I did and this time the rep said they will facilitate the contact with Godin. Either way, I pay shipping costs. Meanwhile I'll gently open up the back to see if a wire came loose.

On second thought, I'd better not touch it. ;-)

Two weeks ago I finally got Musician's Friend to take the guitar back for warranty repair. I had to pay a little extra for the UPS Store to box it and send it, but I was happy to finally get it repaired. Well I got it back today and 1) the headstock is chipped and 2) the problem wasn't fixed. So I sent them a nice email with a photo of the headstock and a link to the video below.

Livid!

Update: Musicians Friend sent me a new Godin LGXT AAA early this month. So far it's working flawlessly so I'm a happy camper. I took my video down from YouTube. ;-)

That is good news. I hate when stuff like that happens. Sorry you had to pay anything to ship it around.

How do you like the neck on that creature? Ive had two Godins and I like them . The synth stuff works/tracks well. Mine were an acs with the classical neck and the six string steel string acoustic model. The necks were a bit thin front to back on both to my feel. Just wondered what their electric based guitars feel like.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier thumbpicker. The neck is good - a little narrow but I've gotten used to it. The frets are set up nicely and dressed well. Not dead spots.
