Going to test the waters on this one, this is another one that I wont be broken hearted if it doesn't sell, but I really don't play Strats anymore.
1974 Sunburst with non-original modern G&G brown Tolex case
When I got it it had a brass nut, I had that professionally changed, and set up at the same time.
As far as I can tell it is all original other than the 5 way switch somebody put in there in place of the 3 way.
This guitar is very light compared to most late 70s Strats, and doesn't have the typical baseball bat type neck that the late 70s guitars have, it feels more like a mid/late 60s neck, kind of a thinner "D" shape, which is what attracted me to this one.
It's been used but not abused, and has some wonderful checking in the finish. The finish is thin too, not near as thick as the typical 70s plastic like finish.
This guitar really reminded me of a '69 Strat that I stupidly sold, that's kind of why I bought this one.
$3500 firm plus shipping
As with the FDP Strat that is for sale, I'm not hurting for money, I just would like to clear out a few guitars and since I'm not really a Strat player anymore these are the ones that need to go.
$30 Star donation to Chris in your name if you buy it, thanks for looking
