Ive been offered a dearmond starfire custom for a good price
It has a bigsby, two coil tap switches on the scratchplate and a master volume on the upper bout.

Are these factory installed or are they additions?. They are well done and have a smalled but dearmond looking volume control
Thanks everybody

Not sure about DeArmond SF guitars, The stock, DeArmond SF-II basses did not have a master volume (as the Guild SF-II basses do/did---with the exception of the very limited-production GSRs).

Just did a quick image search for DeArmond SF guitars: it looks like they also lacked a stock master volume, so it seems likely that the master volume and coil taps on the guitar in question are later additions.

If I recall correctly, the Starfire Special had a Bigsby and florentine cutout. The Starfire, or Starfire Custom, had a harp tailpiece and double cutout ES335 shape, and gold tone pups. Neither had a factory tap, just traditional 4 knob setup. I got a Starfire way back during the blowout and used push-pull pots to tap the humbuckers. The mods described would not have been factory.
