I have been practicing some exercises on the bass using bossa nova rhythms, mainly as timing exercises.
Coming with some runs between the chords has been challenging, trying to keep the time and the feel going.
Have any of you played much bossa nova and how did you cope ?

I love Latin feel music. I've played a decent amount of it as it permeated the jazz genre way back and that's sort of where I hang out. It's a lot of fun! Just have to do it more and wiggle your posterior a little be and ride a little towards the back of the beat there, IMO!
