...Spinal Tap?

Without consciously trying to do so?

Should do a study about how quickly viewers click out of that.

If the guitar "solo" in the second one doesn't make you jump out of your skin, I don't know what will.

Based on their instruments and musical approach, I'll bet they probably started as a Doors tribute band...until some promoter told 'em to get their own sound.

MISTAKE!

LOL, I really like the first song. Ya, the key player is rough around the edges, and the guitar player doesn't have much skill (like me), but that song kicks butt.

The vocals are great. That guy can sing. Very cool song.

I thought the drumming was really good to. The drumming was the first thing I really noticed.

The second song is atrocious.

From the comments:

"Chris Farlowe is sounding great here!!!! Always loved the early Atomic Rooster the most, but this smokes! Ric Parnell as you may or may not know plays Mick Shrimpton the drummer in Spinal Tap"

If the keyboard sounds familiar, it's the same guy who played organ on "Fire" by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown...

Carl Palmer left Atomic Rooster shortly before that first video was made to co-found Emerson, Lake & Palmer. He was also the drummer in The Crazy World of Arthur Brown shortly after the band recorded "Fire"

This is about the only one of their songs that I've ever liked...
