I want to replace the saddle in the guitar with a shorter one to lower the action. I’d like to know the width of the saddle and he radius of the neck. I’ve been looking around the web, but cannot find anything, even the Fender site doesn’t recognize the model when I try searching there. Anyone have an idea where I can get this info? I’m figuring it’ll be an on line order so want to know before ordering.

Thanks

Best thing to do is measure the slot (not the saddle) for width and length. Next, measure the height of the current saddle. Order a new saddle that exceeds these measurements and make a new one.

You reduce the size of the saddle blank to fit the bridge slot and achieve the required string height. That’s how techs do it.

Thanks, Peegoo. I never thought of measuring the slot. I want to use a new saddle, not sand the old one, just in case things don’t work out right. Now it just dawned on me to check the saddle radius to get it right - doe!!!! 😵
