Thanks!

I do believe the boatneck carve is the one for me. I really like the way my hand fits.

Sweet looking guitar Leftee! Nice work.

"Eric, you've persuaded me to add the tummy cut to my tele build."

Yep, the tummy cut is where it's at for me.
Did it on my last (first actually) tele build.

I don't have a big belly, but playing a standard tele, that square edge digs into my right ribs.

edit to add: I meant to say “playing a standard Tele *sitting down*...”

Thanks Mick!

Yeah the tummy cut is where it's at. And you can't tell from the front of the guitar.

I've always wondered how much a tummy cut affects resonance, tone, etc.

I don't think it does. I can offer no conclusive evidence.

But I think pickups and bridge would more so. A lot more so.

I finally got the wiring right last night. I had an issue where the tone pot wasn’t connected in all positions.

This guitar is quite cool. So flexible!

Mike, you do want one!

Oh, and hats off to DiMarzio. This is my first DiMarzio pickup ever. They do, absolutely, have the best noiseless single coil sized pickup! If I ever need such devices, they will probabaly get my business.

If you come to Ohio again, bring it with. I'd like to give it a whirl. We'll even feed you. :o)

This guitar is, by far, my favorite Fender-style guitar. It just does all these great tones so well.

It does Tele just like a great Tele would. The Stratty tones are good but they have a Tele twist to them that I really appreciate. The middle pickup is the middle pickup. And this DiMarzio is great in that position.

All three pickups together is something new and quite wonderful. I can actually pick out the characteristics of each pickup. And these work exceptionally well together.

I wondered what a darker, Broadcaster type pickup would be like in the bridge. But, honestly, I don’t want to mess up a great thing. The current bridge pickup has that bright Tele ka-rang. It is ruthless through the Marshall.

If I had to have only two guitars, it would be this one and the Les Paul.

You've inspired me to concentrate on my Tele project. I'm thinking something like this only with a deeper copper color.

Do you have one of these planned out yet?
