I saw a picture of this in an ad and thought to myself, "that's probably really pricey and probably something like a Blues Jr." 'Tis a Pro Jr. in a fancy cabinet for $8,000!

Suspicion confirmed. Have you seen any other crazy amps lately?

From a sponsor, too!

Eh , maybe it was carved from the tree that overlooks Leo Fenders grave. Other than that I got nothing.

What a joke.

The grenadillo and maple in that cabinet amount to about $30 in materials. The joinery is yawn-worthy.

And the amp chassis is exactly the same as any bog-standard Pro Junior amp.

People will still buy ‘em.

It's guys that own a block of townhouses, or a chain of gas stations or drug stores or laundromat's that happen to play a little and want something like that for themselves or they know someone, a friend or nephew, or Grandkids that have a graduation or birthday coming up and want to get them something special as a gift.

Lots of guys on this forum, if they totaled it all up have some pretty serious Cake wrapped in their gear. But I would rather own a handful of amps that totaled 4K-5K than have 1 amp that cost 4K-5K.

Yea, while I do like the granadillo stuff I have (both my LP HPs have granadillo fretboards) ....it ain't an expensive wood.

And certainly not worth $7k for that cabinet.

They at least could have used a handle that didn't look like it came off a refrigerator.

Those handles are from the old piano black Deluxes they made. Those were cooler but expensive. Still, not 16x the cost of the regular model!

So is the amp the same as the stock PJ's or handwired point to point from reclaimed solder in Leo's workshop?

I didn't see any mention of a handwired circuit and I think if they really had them then Fender would be advertising it in capital letters everywhere.

It appears to be the same, down to the plastic input jack.
