Thanks guys.

Leftee, you remember after your last build, I said I didn't have any blue guitars...
well this is your fault! ;^)

There are more than a couple flaws in the finish, so don't ask for any close ups!
The lighting and angles were very kind in the photographing.

I can't get over how much those small changes in body shape I made effect the comfort of this guitar.
It just fits me nicely (especially when sitting).

If I were a real guitar maker, this would be my standard offering for a LP-style shape.

I should get some bench time today to fine tune the set up and other minor adjustments.
Friday night it'll get a good first run at rehearsal. Woo-hoo!!!

One thing that stands out with everything you do is just amazing color selection and finish.

Looks like a "Guitar Line" that needs to be done. Seriously, Mick, you have senses that go beyond regular old sense..

For the money and kicks you could do a small run of these and see what happens. It is different and the color actually makes me think 'Dave Grohl" and if it sounds as good as it looks, I would buy one.

Mr. Crowley..

Thanks TRF. Very kind words.

"Get that die grinder cranked up."

Hah!!! Actually I didn't turn on the angle grinder for this one!
I used a sanding drum in my drill press for the contouring. (almost like a normal person ;^)

Hammond: Even you bought an Epi LP SII and used nothing but the neck & body, you couldn't go wrong for the money.

If they were $99 here like the US, I'd strongly consider Frogman's proposition.

“Die Grinder Guitars”

No candy-assed tools were used in the making of these fine instruments.

Mick, I'm looking for one of the double cut bolt necks. I'd rather have two HBs but a single would work.

"...I'm looking for one of the double cut bolt necks."

I seriously contemplated turning this one into a double cut, but chickened out!

Now *that* would have required some "non-candy-assed tools"!!!

After setting the nut action, levelling a couple of high frets and balancing the pickups...

this thing is playing great!

I've also added

the finishing touch

Mick, that is fantastic. A custom plate like that IS the finishing touch on a custom guitar.

So you want to make a double-cut out of a single cut? Here's one luthier tool that Stooge Mac

doesn't sell.

Ah yes, that “wood” have been just the ticket!

I didn’t even think of drilling it out. My first thought was scroll saw (which in my case would have been a hand held jig saw).
Hence part of my reason for abandoning the idea.

Maybe the next one :^)
