Thought it my be interesting to hear from P90 tele owners ya know comments and pics. I always wanted one but there's not much to choose from. I have to Epi's with P90's a 56LP and a es339 that sound quite good but just feel more at home on a Fender neck.

I saw Phil Keaggy with one once, and it just ripped.

If you have a Tele you're willing to mod, get yourself a finished 'soapbar' body from Warmoth, etc., and stick some P90s in it. Move the other parts (neck, etc.) from the donor Tele and KA-RANG, you're rockin'.

You will need a different bridge. If you prefer the three-saddle thing, you can get a cut-down bridge from GFS. They are good; I've used them on a few custom builds.

This.

"Look In The Sky" brother!

Other than the Jim Adkins model there isn't much out there with 2 P90s if that is what you are after. Lots of P90s in the neck position.

I built one about a year ago with 2 HBs and really like it.

If you prefer not to roll your own, look up the following model:

Fender Modern Player Deluxe Telecaster

It looks like a Thinline and has two P90s. These sometimes go on sale for less than $400. Shop around!

I have a Warmoth Thinline build with a P90 in the neck and standard config bridge. The P90 is actually a Kent Armstrong noiseless and the bridge a GFS Lil Puncher rail. The two balance very well and with both on sound surprisingly very Tele-like. The neck does a nice jazz thing and the bridge can growl like a nasty bucker.

yeah BobbyMac it does look nice but want two P90's also don't want to spend that much on a back up.. Might consider Peegoo's suggestion of the Modern Player for $499.
thanks

My MIJ Aerodyne Tele came with a P90 in the neck position and it's a smooth, full sound with a hint of a Gibson vibe - very nice.

Ditto on the Aerodyne Tele.

Its how I got into Telecasters in the first place.

Being so used to Les Paul's, the pickup selector switch on the Aerodyne was in the "Right Place" for me, as well as having that P90 in the neck.

Since then I've picked up a few "Traditional" Tele's as see in my profile.

I've gone thru a few different pickups on the Aerodyne, but settled on a Lollar P90 in the neck and a Lollar Special T in the bridge.

Wonderful guitar !

But I would like a Tele with a Fralin 5% overwound in the bridge.

Stratmanx, the link is to one of my set neck builds while under construction. The humbuckers are DiMarzio's and very versatile.

Tony, this same configuration could be made using any 2-HB Tele and installing HB sized P90 PUs. An easy swap. This build was under $500 using the body/neck and bridge from GFS. I could have done it for less but used more pricey locking tuners on it.

I put HB sized P90s from GFS in my Epiphone Wilshire and I'm very pleased with the tone of that guitar.
