The good news about that is they can always cut the jacket up the back so they can button it in the front.

So we have THAT going for us.

I was getting fitted for my current suit. I reflected on the fact that my old suit lasted 30 years, and there would be a good chance I'd be buried in this one. The tailor perked up "You mean my work here may end up in a hole in the ground!?!?"

I don’t have a suit at this time. I’ve been getting by with sport coats for several years now.

I plan to go out closed casket. It will take some doing, but I’m sure I can rise to the occasion. Maybe a self-driving car accident.

Since I'll be cremated, my terminal on-somb will consist of shorts and a tee shirt.

You know--something appropriate for warmer climes.

Arguably, owning a good suit and never wearing it until you die is the opposite of getting your money's worth...

I have no idea what I will be buried in, I would prefer it to not be a suit but I have left that decision, as well as all other funeral decisions, to my wife, much to her annoyance. She would prefer I pick, and I genuinely don't care what happens because I will be dead. I told her to do whatever she wants and whatever she is most comfortable with.

Which, of course, was the wrong answer.

I have three suits, none of which I have worn in years. Like Leftee, I wear sport coats.

But I could still fit in them if I tried. The statins and last year's chemo caused my A1C to rise, so I have cut down on the carbs, lowering my weight(mainly belly fat) and A1C.

I haven't planned what to be buried in, but probably the navy one. My wife hates the black pinstriped one; she says it makes me look like a member of the Mafia.
