I completely re-capped this amp 15 yrs ago, but haven’t used the reverb much since then. Just bought a new vibrato/reverb footswitch from amplified parts because it has a longer cord, and the reverb hisses quite a bit if I turn the reverb intensity up past 4 or 5. I’ve done no troubleshooting on the amp as we have a gig this weekend, but any ideas what might be going on ? It may have done the same thing with the original footswitch - I didn;t test it, so I doubt the footswitch is the issue.

Many thanks - Jim

Usually hissing would be from the reverb recovery tube (V4) or the 100k plate resistor for that stage. I keep some 100k 2 watt metal film/oxide low noise resistors for this purpose

Thanks guys - the gig actually went very well and hissing from the reverb channel wasn’t a problem. I forgot to check back on the forum.....but I do need to follow up with the amp - will take a look at the plate resistor.
