FDP Forum / Fender Guitars: Telecasters / C shaped neck on classic 50's Telecasters?

I've recently got into Telecasters as I've been mostly a strat guy. I've been out if touch with Fenders line of guitars since I've been happy with my gear.

Has there been a change in the neck shape of the Classic 50's (MIM) series?

I remember them being V shaped (or maybe U shaped), but I notice that the new ones I see online, as well as on Fender's website, have a C shaped neck.
I know that Fender necks towards the late 50's became more C shaped... is that what they were going for?

Has there even been a change or were they always C shaped?

Thanks
