These guitars look very similar to me and I have been a fan of Billy Duffy for quite some time, anyway I want to sell off a few guitars and buy a Gretsch.

I am looking at side by side pics of these and the only obvious thing to me is the White Falcon is very white with gold hardware. Is that it?

That's basically it. The white Falcon it a pimped-out Gretsch.

In addition to the white lacquer, gold hardware, amd gold plastic parts, it also usually has multi-ply binding and that cheezy padded vinyl pad on the back.

As much as I love Gretsch guitars (I have five of them), I have to agree with Te 52 on the goofy headstock on the Falcon. I just never thought it looked right.

It is one of Gretsch's most notable design characteristics, however, and I do appreciate its historical significance.

I am curious as to the differences in 5000 6000 series guitars, are the body thicknesses close? I am not clear on whether or not I am asking this correctly or if the body sizes correlate with model numbers.

Are the bridges mounted on some and not on others?

I am on the hunt and the 5120 is making me giddy, I could go to guitar center and see if they have something close to this.

Give Sweetwater (sponsor above) a call and ask to speak with a Gretsch expert. They will be able to answer all your questions and help you decide on which way to go.

They may also swing you a good deal. Anytime I've needed something specific, I call them and they do a better deal than they advertise on their Website.

MF is usually the same way.
