Man I wish someone could isolate or just bring up the bass track on this. This guy's a monster player.

Sorry upon looking again maybe it's not a jazz bass, sure sounds like one though.
edited for bad vision.

Very tasty! If I was a betting man my money would be on Will Lee. Sure looks like him in a couple of momentary shots. Anton Fig on drums...he and Will work together quite a bit. Paul Shaffer was probably within shouting distance as well. Will a Sadowsky guy.

Sure looks and sounds like Will. Bass looks right too - signature Sadowsky bass. He is definitely a monster player.

Tony...thanks for the link.

Vocals to die for.

About the bass:

It's all there...tone, chops, timing, venturing off the root to add some sizzle to rhythm section...but...IMO...a little too busy. If it were me up there instead of Mr. Lee, I would have understated the line just a bit.

Don't mean to be contrary. It's early morning where I live and I'm not yet through my first cup of French roast.

That is Lee. He, along with The World's Most Dangerous Band are frequently the core of the house band at the R&R Hall of Shame inductions.

Who is Laura Nyro, and, uhh, what is she doing in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? I don't remember her and I was alive then...

I'm with Martin. Although I know who she is, kinda... why is she in the Rock & Roll HOF? And the Doobie Brothers aren't? That organization is a joke!
