I have a PB-555 black Boxer bass with the double P pickup. Everything works as it should, but I'd really like a switching diagram to tell me with the mini switch next to the TBX tone knob actually does! Flipped one way it's a little more bassy, flipped the other it's a bit more treble-y.

Just trying to figure out what's what!

Marc, I've checked all the usual (and also unusual) places and there are no diagrams or schematics I can find.

But there's a way to figure it out:

Does that switch work (affect the tone) only when both pickups are on? If so, it's probably a phase reversal switch that flips the phase between the pickups. In phase--bassier sound. Out of phase--a more midrangey, nasal tone.

If that switch affects the tone when a single pickup is on, it may act on the phase relationship (as above) between each half of the split coil.

Whaddya think?

Can you post a pic of the wiring?
