Today’s SDotD made me realize that I’ve never owned a Line 6 anything.

I’ve never owned a Fender tube amp made in the last 40 years either.

No Martin or Taylor in my past either.

What about you?

I can add Mesa Boogie. I have a feeling I will snag a MB amp off CL at some point.

I did have a PRS amp for a short time. No guitars though.

Taildragger,

Are you sure you’re a musician? You don’t seem to know the rules. (-;

I don’t know that any of us has owned a Dumble. He never went into production afaik.

I’ve never had a TC Electronics pedal.

I can add Orange to my list. I would probably like a nice Orange tube amp more than a MB.

And Gretsch.

Not sure I want one, to be honest. Generally not my cuppa.

I didn't see Carvin or Danelectro on anyone's list. I have a Dano EQ pedal and 2 cool guitars but Ive never owned anything made by
Gretsch
Peavy
Ampeg
Rickenbacker
PRS
or Guild

The only British stuff I've owned is an 18W Marshall amp and some small VOX amps, don't even know if VOX is considered British any more. I've also never owned an acoustic guitar just electrics.

Scanning the lists above I'm kind of amazed at the number of things I've owned and forgot about.

"Taildragger, are you sure you’re a musician? You don’t seem to know the rules. (-;"

May I be giving some sort of dispensation as a "starving amateur musician"?

Amps I've had: Fender (many), Carvin, VHT, Clark, TC Electronics

I've only had/have one (G6122-JR), but it's nice. Wouldn't mind having a G-6119-HT "Tennessee Rose", but it ain't gonna happen. And please: spell it right (Gretsch)!

Also have or have had some (now defunct) "brands of the past": Silvertone, Coral, Crown, Kay as well as PRS, Reverend, Guild, SX, Yamaha, Epiphone (MIA & MIK) as well as lots of Gibbies and Fenders.

But it's true: I never have been, am not now and never will be a "big-time pro", that's for sure.

Cool thread idea, although I wouldn't consider many on Taildragger's list to be "major" brands, but nice list anyway. :)

I have to admit, I've never owned an Esteban.

"And please: spell it right (Gretsch)!"

You mean like "Squire"??? (that always annoys me)

"Scanning the lists above I'm kind of amazed at the number of things I've owned and forgot about."

Me too. It's almost kind of embarrassing...
but I can safely say I have never owned anything Orange, Mesa, Gretsch, Taylor, Martin, Ric.
There's more, but that's a start.
