They said I sound most like I'm from Yorkshire.

Actually, I grew up in north Louisiana and moved to SE Louisiana 47 years ago.

I bet I don't sound like them at all

Most like: East Midlands... like three guys I never heard of.

Least like: West London.... like two guys named Hugh (Laurie and Grant) and Kate Winslet.

Odd thing is, I once lived in West London. Never been to the east Midlands, to my knowledge.

Another Yorkshire result, though I doubt that any would think so if hearing me speak. Born in the Panhandle, raised in Alabama, lived my adult life in Tennessee, and I sound like it!

Well, me direct ancestors came from Ipswich and were usually Deputies of the King's Court, so, maybe whatever accent they had!

It looked like pronouncing 'happy' with an 'i' narrows it right down to the area of the North West where I grew up. Nothing else seemed that specific though.
